Eva van Manen is een artiest, songwriter, dichter en muziekproducer die zich tussen verschillende disciplines en werelden beweegt. Op haar debuutalbum ‘Politiek & Liefde’ (2018) overbrugt Eva stijlen als rap, elektronica en gitaarpop met een fluïde, persoonlijke invalshoek en onderzoekt waar de politiek en de liefde elkaar raken. Als een diepgravende dialoog die wordt uitgedragen in zowel tekst als productie, waarbij haar brede muzikale interesseveld – van hiphop, soul, indie en jazz – te horen is. Op haar tweede album 'De Diepte In' (2021) duikt Eva de diepte in van een gevoelswereld en zoekt Eva een stromende sensitiviteit op, waarvoor ze met verschillende pop- en jazzmuzikanten samenwerkte zoals Xander Vrienten en Rory Ronde.
Voorjaar 2023 komt Eva's nieuwe EP ‘Le Hérou’ uit, solo liedjes opgenomen in een Belgisch bos waarop te horen is hoe kwetsbaar en mooi de natuur is. Een tweede EP volgt najaar 2023.
Als producer richtte Eva in 2020 samen met Josephine Zwaan rosetta. op, het platform voor vrouwelijke en gender non-conforming muziekproducers in Nederland. rosetta. organiseert tabletalks, de summerschool, masterclasses en workshops. Ook kwam in dat jaar Eva's eerste dichtbundel 'Hoe zijn we hier gekomen?' uit bij Uitgeverij Hollands Diep.
Of het over produceren of live optreden van muziek of spoken word gaat, het werk van Eva lijkt altijd te ontstaan uit een soort natuurlijke creatieve golfbeweging. Alles is afkomstig uit dezelfde bron: een geest die al het niet-vanzelfsprekende vanzelfsprekend maakt en andersom.

On her debut album "Politics & Love" Eva bridges styles such as rap, electronica and guitar pop with a fluid, personal angle and explores where politics and love coalesce and sever. In dialogue with itself, but also reflective of its environment. This dialogue is expressed within both lyrics and production, with her broad musical field of interest - from hip-hop, soul, indie and jazz - forming an imaginative palette.
Eva co-founded rosetta. with fellow producer Josephine Zwaan. A platform for and by female and gender non-conforming music producers in The Netherlands. Eva is searching for a flowing sensitivity on her upcoming album, which will be released in the autumn. For this album she worked with several pop- and jazz musicians.
Whether producing, reciting poems or performing live, Eva's work always seems to arise from a kind of natural wave pattern. Everything comes from the same source: a mind who makes not so obvious things obvious, and vice versa.
